Hello,  I'm Nancy Carter.  Thank  you for visiting my webpage and giving me a few minutes of your precious time.

I hope this page will give you a little insight into my life and authorship.  I live somewhat of a normal life, whatever

normal is.  I could create myself as a fictional character, nah...too much trouble.  If I should be asked what makes my

simple life great and wonderful, it's that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and that sums it all up.

As a writer, for an introduction, let me explain how I see the world.  I watch, l listen and observe people, places, and

things, in terms of stories that stay in my head until they get lost or emerge as a short story, a novel, or in notes to be

written about later.  So, if you are in my company you may unknowingly appear in my writing.  From what I understand

most sincere authors operate in a similar fashion.

I think all of us have "life happenings" that may alter the course of our journey here on earth. The first book I wrote

began in 1992 after our 28 year old daughter died of a heart attack.  She was married and had a 15 month old daughter.

The day after she died God told me to "write it down".  I assumed the writing was for our granddaughter.  However, when

that sweet baby turned 18 she was killed in an automobile accident,  She never got to read the writing.  I asked

overwhelmingly tearful, "why God?"  But I was not to have an answer, not now anyway.  I have not had the courage or God's

leading,  yet,  to put it into print.  Maybe someday.

God gets the credit for my creative writing and the ability to weave plots and create characters; and thankfully lift me out of

writers block,  My mother, Dorothy Schultz Murrell, gets the credit as genealogist, who worked on sorting out the begets of

our family, all the while adding family stories she tracked down, even the ones that were a little risque.  Thus was the birthing

of my first book, a true story about a telegram my grandfather received in 1919: The Telegram--Book 1, the Story of Charles Schultz.

It is Historical Fiction/nonfiction about my maternal grandfather, set in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia.

Words are powerful tools.  The bible instructs us to 'hide His words in our hearts'.  There may come a day that we will need to draw from our heart to 'read' God's word.  I pray that you comnmit all you do to the Lord, it a beautiful thing.

Thank you for coming to visit through technology.  Blessings,

With the compasssdionate love of Jesus.
